RURAL Economic &Community Development
The Rural Economic and Community Development Division of the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) is committed to advancing prosperity and improving quality of life across rural Nevada.
Working with local partners, the team helps communities define priorities and take action in areas like infrastructure, education, job creation, youth retention, leadership, and marketing. The division also supports cultural programs, charitable efforts, and solutions to local challenges.

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
The CDBG program funds community development in Nevada. GOED administers grants for smaller cities and counties, focusing on rural infrastructure, while larger areas receive funds directly from HUD.

Main street
Nevada Main Street revitalizes downtowns through historic preservation, community development, beautification, and economic growth. The program supports local businesses and quality of life, offering adaptable, community-based initiatives that evolve over time.
