CARSON CITY, Nev. – The Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) today announced that Nathan Bouvet, strategic project manager at GOED, has been appointed Chair of the Nevada Clean Energy Fund Board.

The Nevada Clean Energy Fund expands access to capital for clean energy and energy efficiency projects by leveraging public and private investment. The Fund helps lower energy costs, create jobs and strengthen local economies, particularly in rural and underserved communities.

“I’m honored to serve as Chair at a time when thoughtful, accountable investment in clean energy is critical to Nevada’s economic and environmental future,” said Bouvet. “The Clean Energy Fund plays a unique role in ensuring that energy solutions are not only innovative, but financially sound, scalable, and responsive to community needs.”

Bouvet brings an interdisciplinary foundation that aligns directly with the mission and responsibilities of the Nevada Clean Energy Fund. His academic background spans environmental science, community development, and public administration, supporting a governance approach that integrates sustainability objectives with financial discipline, risk management, and public accountability. This perspective positions clean energy as both an environmental imperative and a core component of Nevada’s long term economic competitiveness and infrastructure resilience.

As Chair, Bouvet will focus on aligning investment decisions with state policy goals and advancing projects that deliver meaningful economic, environmental and community benefits statewide. Having previously served as Vice Chair of the Board, his appointment ensures a seamless leadership transition and continued momentum for the Fund’s work.
