Las Vegas, Nev. –The Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) is announcing the launch of Nevada the Entrepreneurial, a yearlong storytelling campaign highlighting the people, businesses and organizations that make up Nevada’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Launched on July 4 through GOED’s Office of Entrepreneurship, the initiative will release one video each week featuring entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, educators, ecosystem builders and community leaders from across the state. In total, the campaign will feature 52 stories about driving economic growth, innovation and opportunity in Nevada.
“Entrepreneurs are at the heart of Nevada’s economic success,” said Governor Lombardo. “Across our state, innovative individuals are building businesses, creating jobs and strengthening communities through their vision and determination. Nevada the Entrepreneurial celebrates the people who are turning ideas into opportunity and helping shape a more prosperous future for all Nevadans. I encourage everyone to follow these stories and see firsthand the talent, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit that continue to make Nevada a great place to live, work and do business.”
The campaign is part of Nevada’s participation in America the Entrepreneurial, a national movement led by Right to Start that celebrates entrepreneurship in advance of the 250th anniversary of American independence. As a Founding State of the initiative, Nevada is showcasing the people and ideas that are shaping the state’s future and strengthening its entrepreneurial culture.
“Every entrepreneur has a story, and those stories inspire the next generation of innovators, business owners and community leaders,” said Melissa Saavedra, director of the Office of Entrepreneurship. “Through Nevada the Entrepreneurial, we’re celebrating the people who are building businesses, solving problems and creating opportunities in communities across our state. As a Founding State of America the Entrepreneurial, Nevada is proud to showcase the talent, resilience and entrepreneurial spirit that make our economy stronger.”
