Advanced Manufacturing FastTrack Program

WORKFORCE INNOVATIONS FOR A NEW NEVADA WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM SUMMARY

Advanced Manufacturing FastTrack Program

The Advanced Manufacturing FastTrack Program (AM FastTrack) provides students with the opportunity to train in a state-of-the art Advanced Manufacturing Training Center centrally located with a dedicated full-time instructor along with a student liaison to help with any roadblocks along the way. This program will provide many pathways to employment starting with a three-credit five-week class in Basic Operations and Maintenance leading to an interview with local employers. Classes are 5 weeks long, with various schedules for maximum convenience. Those that wish to continue on toward a Skills Certificate, Certificate of Achievement or an Associate of Applied Science have the opportunity to do so with stackable courses in three different areas including Automation, Maintenance Theory, and Data Analytics. As part of the many different courses, students are connected with employers who are interested in hiring program graduates, and often begin work immediately upon graduation. Classes are available Fall 2023 at the TMCC William N. Pennington Applied Technology Center on Edison Way. When the new Panasonic/TMCC Advanced Manufacturing Training Center is completed in January 2024, classes will move to the new 10,000 square foot space in the new facility on Plumb Lane in Reno.
