GOED is charged with responsibilities to promote, coordinate, support and oversee all economic development programs, activities and efforts. To accomplis this, GOED contracts Regional Development Authorities (RDA) to provide services to aid, promote, and encourage economic development of Nevada.
A"Regional Development Authority" is defined by Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) 231.009 as an organization for economic development that is designated by the Executive Director of GOED and is:
Selected RDAs are required to timely present strategies for the economic development and diversification of the designated region which aligns with the State Plan for Economic Development.
