About GOED
Unlocking Nevada’s
Economic Potential
During the 2011 Nevada Legislature Session, the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) was established collaboratively by the Governor’s Office, State Senate, and Assembly Leadership (NRS 231). GOED envisions a vibrant, innovative, and sustainable economy, offering high-paying jobs. Its mission is to ensure high-quality jobs for Nevadans, with objectives outlined in the first State Plan for Economic Development. These include creating a cohesive economic development operating system, advancing targeted sectors, expanding global engagement, catalyzing innovation, and enhancing opportunities through education and workforce development.
